Q2 2026 GivePanel Campaign Benchmark Report

Charities running campaigns through GivePanel in Q2 2026 raised £5,306,525 from 103,141 registrations, with an overall activation rate of 36.11% and an average of £153.80 per Active Fundraiser.

Before the breakdown, one thing is worth keeping in mind throughout: a campaign’s effectiveness is never down to one variable. Paid media effectiveness, audience targeting, and the specific event type a charity chooses all play a part, alongside the platform and month a campaign runs in. Use the benchmarks below as a baseline to compare your own campaigns against, not as a guarantee of what platform or category to pick.

Q2 2026 overall benchmarks

While Q2 total revenue closely matched Q1, the volume of registrations increased by nearly 9.6%. Consequently, the overall activation rate saw a slight dip, indicating a higher volume of top-of-funnel acquisition but a slightly lower conversion rate to active fundraising.

Monthly distribution

By campaign start date, April raised £1,062,924 from 35,193 registrations, May raised £2,228,829 from 28,895 registrations, and June raised £2,014,772 from 39,053 registrations.

May generated the highest total revenue for the quarter despite recording the lowest registration volume. Conversely, April and June drove significantly higher acquisition volumes but yielded lower average revenue per registration.

Platform performance: Facebook vs. JustGiving

Facebook’s activation rate reached 35.93%, with an average of £108.27 per Active Fundraiser. JustGiving’s activation rate reached 36.60%, with an average of £275.39 per Active Fundraiser.

The activation rate gap between the two platforms closed significantly in Q2, with both settling around 36%. However, the revenue disparity remained consistent, as active JustGiving fundraisers generated approximately 2.5x more revenue than their Facebook counterparts.

Campaign category performance

Distance challenges, measured in miles or kilometres, raised £4,124,159 from 67,097 registrations, an average of £61.47 per registration. Swimming challenges raised £821,515 from 13,594 registrations, an average of £60.43 per registration. Dog walking challenges raised £410,150 from 12,396 registrations, an average of £33.09 per registration.

General distance challenges remain the dominant revenue driver, accounting for over 77% of total Q2 revenue. Swimming challenges emerged as a highly effective seasonal category, matching standard distance campaigns in average revenue per registration while providing solid acquisition volume.
